Deck overview

Marchesa, Dealer of Death leads a Grixis control deck built around the crime mechanic from Outlaws of Thunder Junction. The deck turns regular interactive plays—spot removal, counterspells, targeted discard, and graveyard exile—into consistent card selection and graveyard stocking for one generic mana. Rather than racing for fast combos, the deck controls the board with efficient answers like Shoot the Sheriff, Bedevil, and Mana Drain while filtering through the library. During the late game, the deck pivots into asymmetric blowouts and theft. Cards like Heartless Conscription, Cruel Ultimatum, and Double Down establish dominating board positions, while Crackle with Power or an infinite combat loop using Stella Lee, Wild Card and Great Train Heist close out the table. Without dedicated tutors, the strategy leans on high redundancy, resilient engine recovery, and punishing opposing resource development.
