Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange strategy built around Codie, Ravenous Codex, the prepare mechanic, and Empower Jace planeswalker enchantments. The list leverages Codie's triggered ability to duplicate prepared spells cast from creatures such as Fatehold Chronologist, Woodwork Prodigy, and Stensian Sanguinist. In the early game, the deck fixes its mana across all five colors, deploys low-cost prepare creatures, and casts Codie on Turn 3. In the mid-game, it transitions into wide token generation using spells like Peer Review and Hexhaven Battalion, supported by loyalty abilities from Jace tokens generated by the 'Way of' enchantment cycle. Victory is achieved through sustained combat pressure from buffed creature swarms, trample beasts from Way of the Wildspeaker, and closing life-drain reach from copied spells like Exsanguinate and Massacre Girl, Most Wanted.
