Deck overview

This deck is a classic five-color Dragon tribal midrange powerhouse led by The Ur-Dragon. The deck leverages its commander's Eminence ability from the command zone to discount all Dragon spells by one generic mana, accelerating expensive flying threats ahead of curve. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost mana rocks like Arcane Signet and creature cost reducers like Dragonlord's Servant and Dragonspeaker Shaman. In the mid-game, the deck establishes dominant engine creatures such as Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Terror of the Peaks, and Garruk's Uprising, generating massive board presence, card draw, and direct burn. The late game closes decisively through overwhelming aerial combat, bolstered by The Ur-Dragon's free permanent cheats, Ancient Gold Dragon swarms, or one-sided sweepers like Crux of Fate. Additionally, an incidental infinite colorless mana combo between Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth provides an alternate burst win through Walking Ballista.
