Deck overview

This deck is a focused Rakdos Vampire tribal build commanded by Strefan, Maurer Progenitor. The primary strategy focuses on dealing incremental damage to opponents to generate Blood tokens, which Strefan converts into free, indestructible heavyweight Vampires directly attacking during combat. The deck ramps on early turns with artifacts and cheap creatures like Voldaren Epicure, lands Strefan on Turn 4, and cheats out game-altering threats such as Necropolis Regent, Crossway Troublemakers, and Markov Enforcer on Turn 5. Damage scales rapidly through combat buffs and drain engines like Sanctum Seeker and Malakir Bloodwitch, aiming to close games around Turn 8. An incidental infinite combo between Enduring Tenacity and Exquisite Blood offers an alternate direct win condition. While strong in creature-based combat and board wipes with Olivia's Wrath, the deck relies heavily on Strefan staying on the board and lacks stack interaction to disrupt fast combo strategies.
