Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger and tribal strategy led by Gandalf, Party Guest. The core game plan focuses on deploying cheap, synergistic legendary Wizards on early turns to accelerate mana, reduce spell costs, and draw cards. Once Gandalf enters the battlefield on Turn 4, his combat trigger casts high-impact instants and sorceries from hand for free based on the number of legendary Wizards in play. On Turn 5, the deck reaches critical onset by cheating asymmetric sweepers like Raise the Palisade or game-winning sorceries like Approach of the Second Sun while pumping its board with Balmor, Battlemage Captain and Adeliz, the Cinder Wind. Supported by Kykar, Wind's Fury and Talrand, Sky Summoner, the deck overwhelms opponents with massive flying and trample damage by Turn 6.
