Deck overview

This mono-black deck is a dedicated combo list built for high-velocity multiplayer play. It pairs an explosive fast-mana core with unconditional tutors to assemble game-ending combos as early as Turn 2 or 3. The primary win condition is the two-card combo of Professor Onyx and Chain of Smog, which repeatedly triggers Magecraft to drain all opponents simultaneously. As redundant backup plans, the deck runs creature-based sacrifice loops utilizing Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and blood-drain aristocrats, as well as Yawgmoth, Thran Physician undying recursion engines. While Thanos, Death's Consort sits in the command zone as a synergistic payoff, the deck functions entirely independently of its commander. Elite competitive staples like Opposition Agent, Orcish Bowmasters, and Dauthi Voidwalker provide disruptive asymmetric pressure against opposing strategies while the deck accelerates into its own win lines.
