DOOM PREVAILS by user1163440

Commander: Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Grixis Villain-tribal deck built around Doctor Doom, King of Latveria as a repeatable discard-and-connive engine. The primary plan is to deploy cheap Villains, use Doom's combat trigger to make one Villain connive each turn, and convert discarded lands into a two-life drain for each opponent while playing discard payoffs from hand or exile. Secondary paths are token swarm from Madame Hydra and Ultron, Unlimited, and a mass combat finish with The Squadron Sinister or Living Laser. Baron Strucker and Tombstone reduce Villain costs, and Glorious Purpose turns six connives into free spells. There is no compact combo and no double-faced commander; the deck wins incrementally, and Kang, Temporal Tyrant is the closest alternate engine in the 99.
