Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet Midrange list helmed by Muddle, the Ever-Changing. The core strategy leverages Muddle's unique ability to transform into a copy of any nonlegendary creature with myriad whenever an instant or sorcery is cast. By targeting explosive creatures like Terror of the Peaks, Goldspan Dragon, Port Razer, or value engines like Mulldrifter, Muddle generates overwhelming ETB and combat triggers across all opponents simultaneously. The deck utilizes an elite countermagic and protection suite including Force of Will, Deflecting Swat, and Fierce Guardianship to safeguard its board state while executing its strategy. In addition to broad myriad combat beats and burn from Purphoros, God of the Forge, the list contains a compact infinite combo in Astral Dragon and Cursed Mirror to close out drawn-out games on the spot.
