Deck overview

This deck is a classic Jund Group Slug engine commanded by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash. Rather than attempting to assemble fast infinite combos, it aims to flood the table with symmetrical mana generation and then weaponize that mana against everyone. By pairing cards like Heartbeat of Spring and Mana Flare with punishers like Manabarbs, Overabundance, and Citadel of Pain, opponents are trapped in a dilemma: tap lands and take direct damage, or leave mana open and suffer Yurlok's mana burn. Damage multipliers such as Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz quickly accelerate the clock, turning routine plays into lethal damage spikes. While giving opponents surplus mana carries inherent risks, heavy attrition backed by closing spells like Exsanguinate and Crackle with Power enables the deck to cleanly burn out the entire pod around Turn 7.
