Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Volrath, the Shapestealer leads a Sultai changeling tribal deck that uses Maskwood Nexus to make every creature every type and turn tribal lords into army-wide pumps. Volrath puts -1/-1 counters at combat and copies any creature with a counter, acting as flexible removal and clone. The deck wins by swarming with changelings, drawing heavily off Kindred Discovery, Beast Whisperer and Distant Melody, and grinding value through +1/+1 and -1/-1 counter synergies with Yawgmoth, Hapatra and Experiment Kraj. A secondary engine uses proliferate and counter movement to grow threats while controlling the board.
