Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet forced-combat control strategy commanded by Red Death, Shipwrecker. The deck accelerates its mana and directs opposing aggression by tapping Red Death to goad opposing creatures and generate red mana. It pairs this commander-driven goad capability with heavy-hitting forced attackers like Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos and Slicer, Hired Muscle, which rapidly deplete opposing life totals on every player's turn. Defensively, enchantments such as Propaganda and Dissipation Field shield the pilot from retaliatory strikes, while untappers like Aphetto Alchemist and Sting, the Glinting Dagger unlock multiple activations of Red Death per turn cycle. Once the table grinds down from forced attacks and damage multipliers like Death Kiss or Fiendish Duo, the deck secures victory either through late-game mass theft via Insurrection, wheel damage with Molten Psyche, or commander-synergy burn loops. Without high-end tutors or fast mana rocks, the list thrives on resilient functional redundancy and political attrition.
