Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary, focusing on big-mana acceleration, scalable X-spells, and counter/token synergy. The primary game plan opens with efficient low-cost ramp to deploy Zaxara on turn 3, establishing a powerful mana tap and token engine by turn 4. From there, the deck compounds board presence and card advantage through synergistic engines like Unbound Flourishing, Up the Beanstalk, and Garruk's Uprising, transforming every X-spell into massive Hydra beaters and continuous card draw. The deck pivots into a decisive must-answer state on turn 5 by channeling massive mana—amplified by Nyxbloom Ancient or Zaxara—into overwhelming finishers like Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, or an unblockable Hydra army via Herald of Secret Streams. Backed by premium Sultai interaction, tutors, and protective spells like Heroic Intervention, the deck reliably closes out games on turn 6 through table-wide life drain or combat overruns.
