Commander: Licia, Sanguine Tribune

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Licia, Sanguine Tribune heads a Mardu life-gain/pay-life deck that spends life to draw cards and triggers extort, then converts that life gain into a cheap, huge commander. The primary plan is to land extort pieces early, use the life they generate to cast Licia for almost nothing, and finish with unblockable double-strike commander damage. Secondary paths are cast-from-exile value engines (Prosper, Quintorius, Theater of Horrors) that drain opponents, and X-spells like Exsanguinate or Debt to the Deathless. The deck is built to use Licia's discount and counter-pump; Sorin of House Markov is a supporting DFC whose extort front is what matters, and Prosper acts as the closest hidden engine.
