Deck overview

Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan headlines a powerful Abzan midrange deck that bridges +1/+1 counter scaling with sacrifice and token aristocrat synergies. The deck focuses on developing disposable creature tokens in the early game, utilizing Felothar's enter and attack triggers to convert expendable cardboard into permanent, deck-wide stat buffs. Once its wide board state accumulates counters, the deck leverages mass evasion through flying, trample, and unblockable enablers to push through massive combat damage. Strong card draw engines capitalize on modified creatures to keep hand sizes full, while robust anti-wipe protection shields the board from standard board wipes. Although the deck features an incidental infinite token combo in Cathars' Crusade and Scurry Oak, it primarily wins through relentless, scaling creature combat and resilient board replenishment.
