Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger tempo and aggro deck commanded by Octavia, Living Thesis. The strategy revolves around deploying cheap, unblockable creatures in the opening turns, such as Slither Blade, Invisible Stalker, and Blighted Agent. Simultaneously, it uses low-cost cantrips, self-mill, and looting spells like Consider, Thought Scour, and Quiet Speculation to quickly stock eight instant and sorcery cards into the graveyard. This enables casting Octavia, Living Thesis for just two blue mana. Once assembled, casting or copying any instant or sorcery triggers Magecraft, turning evasive creatures into 8/8 juggernauts or enabling one-shot infect eliminations. The deck sustains its pressure with potent draw engines like Archmage Emeritus and Traverse Eternity, while utilizing creature lands to dodge board wipes. It finishes opponents across two to three combat rotations or through a massive overrun via Candlekeep Inspiration.
