2.4 - Drain the Swamp by Themilkywayfarer

Format: Commander

Commander: Vihaan, Goldwaker

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Vihaan, Goldwaker leads a Mardu treasure-outlaw deck that generates enormous token armies, then animates them into 3/3 Construct Assassin creatures to swing for lethal. The primary plan is to flood the board with Treasures from Smothering Tithe, Descent into Avernus, and Xorn, then use Vihaan's combat ability to attack with a wide board. Secondary paths include an extra-combat loop with Ancient Copper Dragon and The Reaver Cleaver, plus drain effects from Mirkwood Bats and Smaug. Goad spells and board wipes clear the way, while protection like Teferi's Protection and Boros Charm keep the army alive. The commander is the linchpin of the treasure-to-creature offense, but the deck can also win through dragon combat and token-sacrifice drains.
