Commander: Auntie Ool, Cursewretch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund-colored -1/-1 counter value-and-combo deck helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The commander turns every -1/-1 counter placed anywhere into either a card for you or life loss for an opponent, which makes the deck's many "blight" costs, wither creatures, and proliferate effects into a genuine draw engine. The primary kill is an infinite token/death loop using Devoted Druid, Blowfly Infestation, and either Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons or Flourishing Defenses, with Grave Venerations converting the loop into immediate life loss. Backup plans include grinding out the table with The Scorpion God and Kaervek the Merciless, locking opposing boards with Kulrath Knight and Everlasting Torment, stealing creatures with Necroskitter, and occasionally winning via Vraska, Betrayal's Sting poison proliferate. The deck is a slow, engine-heavy build that rewards patience and combo assembly more than fast aggression.
