Deck overview

This deck is a classic Simic Landfall Ramp strategy commanded by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. The primary game plan focuses on rapid early mana acceleration using low-cost ramp spells, mana dorks, and additional land-drop enablers such as Exploration, Three Visits, and Lotus Cobra. Once Aesi enters the battlefield on Turn 4, every land played replaces itself while advancing mana velocity, quickly turning land drops and fetchlands into massive card advantage. The deck leverages this overwhelming resource engine to flood the board with creature tokens via Avenger of Zendikar, Scute Swarm, or Rampaging Baloths by Turn 5. It closes out the game on Turn 6 by searching or casting Craterhoof Behemoth or an empowered Finale of Devastation, trampling over all three opponents simultaneously. Supported by targeted countermagic and mass protection like Heroic Intervention, the deck maintains resilience while converting raw mana into overwhelming board dominance.
