Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender commands a Naya midrange deck that transforms nontoken artifacts into lands and animates them into resilient combat threats using the earthbend mechanic. By turning artifacts into lands, the deck breaks parity on nonland board wipes such as Hour of Revelation and Perilous Vault, devastating opponents while leaving its own mana base intact. The primary game plan curves into commander deployment on Turn 4, immediately generating hasty land creatures that return to the battlefield tapped if destroyed. Critical pressure arrives on Turn 6 via combat multipliers such as Bumi, Unleashed and Toph, Greatest Earthbender, presenting lethal double-strike and extra-combat damage. The deck also includes an infinite combat combo with Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Bumi, Unleashed. While resilient against creature sweepers thanks to earthbend recursion, the deck remains vulnerable to airborne aggression, stack-based combo wins, and exile-based land wipes.
