Deck overview

This deck is a high-power 5-Color Midrange Control list built around Kenrith, the Returned King. It utilizes a premier mana base with original dual lands, fast artifact acceleration, and low-cost mana dorks to consistently jump ahead of the curve. The deck leverages Kenrith's versatile activated abilities as a mana sink, pairing them with cost reducers like Training Grounds and untap engines like Seedborn Muse to generate overwhelming card advantage and recursion. Opponents are slowed down using targeted asymmetric stax pieces such as Drannith Magistrate and Opposition Agent, backed by format-defining free interaction including Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat. The primary path to victory involves dominating the board, wiping opposing resources with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Cyclonic Rift, and buffing the team with +1/+1 counters and trample/haste via Kenrith to close out the game through decisive combat over two turn cycles.
