Karumonix, the Rat King leads a mono-black Rat typal deck that pairs a low-curve poison plan with swarm combat and a graveyard-recursion subtheme. Karumonix's ETB digs five cards deep for Rats and gives every other Rat toxic 1, so the deck's first job is to flood the board with cheap Rats, add evasion through fear or menace, and push opponents to ten poison via Ichor Rats, Infectious Inquiry, Vraska's Fall, and proliferate effects. The secondary path is a giant Rat army finished by Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm or Banner of Kinship, with Marrow-Gnawer plus Thornbite Staff as a token-explosion combo and Patriarch's Bidding / Infernal Offering as mass-reanimation fallbacks.
