Deck overview

This Grixis deck operates as a discard-heavy attrition and reanimation engine commanded by Kefka, Court Mage. The strategy accelerates mana in the early turns using efficient 2-CMC mana rocks and cost-reducing Medallions. Once deployed on Turn 4 or 5, Kefka forces symmetrical discard while generating asymmetric card advantage by drawing cards for each discarded card type. Synergistic payoffs such as Waste Not, Geth's Grimoire, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Tinybones, Bauble Burglar convert opponent discards into extra mana, token armies, and repeated board sweeps. In the mid-to-late game, the deck leverages reanimation spells like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and The Scarab God to steal high-impact threats from depleted opposing graveyards. Damage multipliers like City on Fire and mass reanimation via Rise of the Dark Realms close out games through overwhelming combat steps around Turn 8.
