Deck overview

This deck is an Esper reanimator and token swarm strategy helmed by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. Hashaton turns every creature discarded into a 4/4 black Zombie token copy for {2}{U}, allowing the deck to bypass the expensive casting costs of game-warping bombs like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Archon of Cruelty, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, and Archfiend of Ifnir. Supported by dense discard enablers such as Putrid Imp, Psychic Frog, and Key to the City, the deck rapidly fills both the graveyard and battlefield with lethal threats. Once an oppressive threat or token multiplier like Mondrak, Glory Dominus or Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation resolves, the deck pivots into an overwhelming combat and life-drain finish using Wayward Servant, The Scarab God, and Zombie lord effects. Traditional reanimation spells provide independent redundancy if the commander is removed, while efficient countermagic and spot removal safeguard key windows.
