Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Beorn the Fierce is the engine of this mono-green Bear tribal deck: it ramps out Beorn early, floods the board with Bears, and turns his +2/+2 anthem and 'draw two' combat trigger into a fast midrange game. The 99 supports that plan with heavy Bear density, +1/+1 counter payoffs, and a real infinite combo in Herd Baloth + Ivy Lane Denizen. Five creature tutors plus Gaea's Cradle and Nykthos give a powerful overrun finish with Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation. Ayula, Queen Among Bears is a supporting lord in the 99 rather than a true hidden commander. Interaction is intentionally light, relying on Heroic Intervention and a few green removal spells instead of counterspells.
