Deck overview

This Dimir Zombie deck is helmed by The Scarab God, combining tribal synergy, aristocrats life drain, and graveyard reanimation. Early turns focus on curving out with efficient Zombie enablers such as Dreadhorde Invasion, Lazotep Reaver, and Undead Augur while filling graveyards with self-mill. The Scarab God enters on Turn 5, immediately applying passive upkeep pressure by scrying and draining each opponent for life equal to the Zombie count. The deck converts this board presence into a win on Turn 6 through reanimated threats like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, token buffs from lords, and massive recursion spells like Zombie Apocalypse. While the commander offers built-in resilience against destruction, the strategy remains vulnerable to mass exile effects, graveyard hate, and fast combo decks due to a complete absence of countermagic.
