Deck overview

This Jeskai deck, led by The Second Doctor and Clara Oswald, is a Group Hug and Forced Draw Attrition strategy. It accelerates table card draw to fuel its own hand, deter incoming attacks, and weaponize opponents' bloated hands against them. The game plan unfolds in three stages: establishing early symmetrical card draw and pillowfort protection, deploying goad effects to force opponents into mutual destruction, and resolving punishing win conditions like Psychosis Crawler, Scrawling Crawler, or Forced Fruition. Hand-scaling burn spells such as Fateful Showdown and Runeflare Trap deliver decisive bursts of damage to close out games. While the deck boasts remarkable card velocity and resilient redundant engines, it deliberately gifts opponents substantial resources and card selection. Without direct tutors, it relies on sheer draw volume to find its finishers, making it susceptible to opponent interaction unless backed by its counterspell suite.
