Commander: Captain N'ghathrod

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Captain N'ghathrod helms a mill-based Horror tribal deck with a strong theft subtheme. The primary plan is to chip away at opponents' libraries with Horror combat triggers and mass-mill spells, then reanimate the best milled creatures or steal them with the captain's end-step trigger. Secondary paths include voltron-style lethal attacks from Guiltfeeder or a powered-up Consuming Aberration, and a planeswalker ultimate from Ashiok. The deck is built to use both N'ghathrod faces in the sense that it relies on the front face's end-step reanimation and the menace-granting effect; there is no transforming face on N'ghathrod itself. The hidden commander is consistent with the Horror tribal synergy and mill/graveyard fodder.
