Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet wheel-and-burn engine led by Astonishing Spider-Man. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost burn and value permanents that trigger whenever cards are drawn or discarded, such as Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Magmakin Artillerist, and Psychosis Crawler. Once Spider-Man enters the battlefield, his attack trigger allows the pilot to discard their hand and draw cards equal to the total number of cards discarded that turn. By compounding this attack trigger with hand-refill spells like Change of Fortune, Tolarian Winds, and Windfall, the deck generates massive card velocity and converts each discarded card into direct damage across all opponents. Alternate win conditions include token swarms from The Locust God and Chasm Skulker, or self-mill victories via Thassa's Oracle and Laboratory Maniac.
