Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Dimir Ninjutsu tempo and combo build centered on Satoru Umezawa. The game plan utilizes a dense suite of one-mana unblockable creatures—such as Changeling Outcast, Slither Blade, and Mist-Cloaked Herald—to guarantee an unblocked attacker by Turn 4. Once Satoru Umezawa is on the battlefield, the deck activates ninjutsu for {2}{U}{B} to cheat game-ending threats into combat before damage is dealt. Cheating in Ancient Silver Dragon draws a massive burst of cards, while Void Winnower immediately paralyzes opposing interaction by locking out all even-mana-value spells. The deck backs up this aggressive combat plan with format-tier free and one-mana countermagic (Force of Negation, Swan Song, Flare of Denial) and compact alternate win conditions, including a Doomsday pile into Thassa's Oracle and infinite extra turns via Panoptic Mirror imprinting Time Warp. The result is a resilient, fast, and highly interactive tempo deck.
