Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Eldrazi token swarm and stompy strategy led by Azlask, the Swelling Scourge. The game plan revolves around generating wide swarms of Eldrazi Spawn and Scion tokens using cards like Writhing Chrysalis, Awakening Zone, and Path of Annihilation. Sacrificing these colorless tokens for mana builds a large pool of experience counters on you through Azlask's static trigger. Once a critical mass of experience counters and tokens is assembled, Azlask's activated ability turns the entire swarm into lethal, indestructible attackers with Annihilator 1. If the combat swarm is held back, the deck seamlessly transitions into casting game-ending Eldrazi Titans such as Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, and Zhulodok, Void Gorger using its abundant colorless mana. The deck excels at ramping and compounding board presence, but it lacks dense instant-speed protection, making it vulnerable to well-timed exile sweepers.
