Sauron, Lord of the Rings is the top-end reanimator and trampling finisher, not a combo piece: his cast trigger amasses 5 and returns a creature from the graveyard, turning one spell into a 9/9 commander plus an Army. The real engine is the graveyard package-Entomb, Buried Alive, Living Death, and the reanimation aura suite-backed by a dense amass/wraith shell. The closest hidden commander is Saruman, the White Hand, who makes every noncreature spell grow the Army; Lord of the Nazgul provides a second spell-based path. Secondary plans are amass beatdown, one-sided board wipes, and grind-forever recursion. Realistic wins come from one attack with Sauron after damage doublers and Kediss make it lethal to all opponents.
