Commander: Greven, Predator Captain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Greven, Predator Captain leads a pay-life aggro deck that turns life loss into damage. Greven grows by the life you lose each turn and draws cards when you sacrifice a creature on attack. The deck pays life with Rowan, Scion of War, Treasonous Ogre, Unspeakable Symbol, Hatred and Fire Covenant to make Greven lethal, then closes with Chandra's Ignition or a large Exsanguinate discounted by Rowan. A second path uses lifelink from Whip of Erebos or Basilisk Collar on Volcano Hellion to gain life and loop with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Exquisite Blood and Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Extra combats from Combat Celebrant and Seize the Day and value from Florian and Moseo provide backup pressure.
