Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Killian, Decisive Mentor to execute a hybrid Aura Voltron and board-control strategy. By deploying cost-reducing creatures such as Danitha Capashen, Paragon and Transcendent Envoy, the deck accelerates its mana velocity to chain multiple enchantment spells in a single turn. Each Aura cast triggers Killian to tap down key blockers and goad opposing threats, opening attack pathways while forcing adversaries to deplete each other's life totals. Card velocity is sustained through enchantress staples like Sram, Senior Edificer, Kor Spiritdancer, and Killian's inherent combat draw trigger. Lethality peaks on Turn 5 as scaling modifiers like All That Glitters and Ethereal Armor turn Killian into a lethal combat threat protected by Benevolent Blessing and Shielded by Faith. Asymmetric sweepers like Winds of Rath and mass recursion spells like Mantle of the Ancients provide resilience against board wipes, ensuring steady elimination of opponents by Turn 7.
