Deck overview

This Dimir Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver and focuses on aristocrat attrition, token swarms, and graveyard recursion. The primary game plan curves into early Zombie threats and mana ramp, resolving Wilhelt by Turn 4 to convert sacrificial creatures into card advantage and 2/2 decayed Zombie tokens. The deck scales its pressure by assembling synergistic lords such as Death Baron, Diregraf Captain, and Lord of the Accursed, or landing high-impact anchors like Grave Titan and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. By Turn 6, it presents a lethal, evasive wide board backed by non-combat life drain. While the list contains powerful infinite-cast ceiling lines using Rooftop Storm and Gravecrawler, it operates primarily as a resilient fair deck that leverages graveyard recursion from Gisa and Geralf and Zombie Apocalypse to grind down opponents across multiple combat rotations.
