Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius token-swarm and card-advantage engine helmed by Bard, King of Dale. The strategy leverages Bard's static abilities to double every token created and double all card draws outside the natural draw step. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and low-curve value permanents like Esper Sentinel and Mischievous Mystic. Once Bard enters on Turn 5, subsequent token generators such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Kinbinding, and The Council of Four flood the board at twice the normal rate. The massive card draw generated by doubled triggers fuels a robust counterspell suite to defend against opposing interaction. The deck closes games through wide combat damage amplified by Moonshaker Cavalry, Felidar Retreat, or Proft's Eidetic Memory. While resilient against single-target interaction and rich in card advantage, the plan requires untapping over multiple turn cycles and remains vulnerable to well-timed mass board sweepers.
