Deck overview

This Golgari deck harnesses Witherbloom, the Balancer to turn a swarm of cheap creatures into an overwhelming mana discount engine. By flooding the board with early mana elves and token generators like Bitterblossom and Chatterfang, Squirrel General, the deck casts its 8-mana commander for as little as two colored mana. Once Witherbloom enters the battlefield, all instant and sorcery spells inherit affinity for creatures, reducing the generic costs of game-ending sorceries to single or double colored pips. The deck draws immense card volume with discounted spells like Stinging Study and Shamanic Revelation before casting Tooth and Nail or Finale of Devastation to deploy Craterhoof Behemoth for an immediate, table-wide lethal attack on Turn 5.
