Format: Commander

Commander: Ultra Magnus, Tactician // Ultra Magnus, Armored Carrier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ultra Magnus is a two-phase cheat engine: cast the Armored Carrier face for {2}{R}{G}{W} so it enters with haste and Living Metal, attack with it and a power-4 partner to convert to Tactician, then the Tactician face attacks to put a huge artifact creature from hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck leans on artifacts to draw and filter, with Blightsteel Colossus as the signature pay-off. Secondary plans are Craterhoof/overrun beats, Warstorm Surge damage, and the 30-artifact/30-counter wins from Knuckles and Lux Artillery. No card functions as a hidden commander; Blightsteel is the most important noncommander finisher.
