Smaug the Magnificent by TulipaLilac

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent is a mono-red Treasure/Dragon deck. The primary plan is to generate a large Treasure count, then use Smaug's haste attack trigger as repeatable removal or a one-shot finisher. Secondary paths are doubling Smaug's noncombat damage with Solphim and Twinflame Tyrant, and winning through extra combats from Hellkite Charger and Scourge of the Throne. There is no double-faced or hidden commander: Smaug is the engine, but the Goldspan+Charger+Cleaver loop can win without him. The deck uses dragons as both payoff and mana production, accelerating into expensive spells through Treasures.
