Deck overview

This Izzet deck is commanded by Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man, functioning as a high-velocity artifact cheat engine. Early turns prioritize casting Tony on Turn 2 and utilizing his low-cost impulse ability to filter through the library, digging for high-impact colorless threats while assembling colored mana. On Turn 5, Tony transforms for {4}{U}{R} into The Invincible Iron Man, an evasive 5/5 with flying and haste that immediately cheats massive artifacts into play at the beginning of combat. Payload drops such as Portal to Phyrexia, Blightsteel Colossus, Kaldra Compleat, and Worldslayer completely derail opposing development while accelerating a lethal clock. Robust interaction, including free redirection like Deflecting Swat and cheap countermagic, shields the transform window. Redundant cheat enablers like Goblin Welder and Master Transmuter ensure high resilience even when the commander faces removal.
