Commander: Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Abzan Food aristocrats built around the Frodo/Sam partner pair. Frodo rewards life gain by tempting the Ring and drawing after attacks; Sam, Loyal Attendant makes a free Food each combat, which can start token loops. The main deterministic win is a Carrion Feeder loop: sacrifice Cauldron Familiar, let Samwise Gamgee replace the Food, and return the Familiar to drain each opponent. Protean Hulk is a one-card tutor that puts Samwise and Cauldron Familiar directly into play. The secondary path is Rosie Cotton plus Scurry Oak or Herd Baloth for infinite Squirrels, finished by Mirkwood Bats or a hasted Pippin attack. Samwise Gamgee is effectively a hidden commander: the deck's engine and fastest win both depend on his Food trigger.
