Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Black Zombie tribal and aristocrats deck led by The Ghoul, Gunslinger. It focuses on curving out resilient Zombie creatures, generating token armies, and leveraging death triggers for resource velocity and drain. Early turns establish mana rocks and utility creatures like Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur. By the midgame, the deck leverages tribal lords such as Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Undead Warchief to create an intimidating combat presence while The Ghoul, Gunslinger converts nontoken creature deaths into Treasures and rad counters. Late game sequences convert wide boards into decisive victories through massive drain effects like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Vengeful Dead, or through asymmetric board clearing via Noxious Ghoul. While resilient to single-target removal thanks to strong recursion, the deck remains vulnerable to exile-based board wipes and lacks stack interaction.
