Mikaeus (opti) by olitologie

Format: Commander

Commander: Mikaeus, the Unhallowed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats/combo deck built around Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. The primary plan is to land Mikaeus and convert his undying-granting static ability into an infinite loop with a small set of combo pieces: Triskelion can ping itself to death and return forever, while Putrid Goblin and Puppeteer Clique pair with sacrifice outlets to generate infinite death triggers. The deck is also a functional Zombie tribal deck, with Lord of the Undead, Undead Warchief, and Death Baron pushing combat damage, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel draining the table off black devotion. A deep graveyard recursion package - Phyrexian Reclamation, Victimize, Sheoldred, Whispering One - lets the deck rebuild and re-loop its key pieces. The commander is the engine that makes most of the wins possible, so protecting him is the central tactical concern.
