Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Obeka, Splitter of Seconds, a commander that converts combat damage into consecutive upkeep steps in the post-combat phase. The deck leverages this ability to hyper-accelerate upkeep-based triggers, turning normally slow value engines into rapid game-winning threats. By equipping Obeka with evasion like Aqueous Form or Whispersilk Cloak, every attack guarantees multiple upkeep steps. These extra steps trigger massive card advantage through Phyrexian Arena and Court of Locthwain, accelerate suspend spells like Ancestral Vision, and deliver heavy damage via Court of Embereth and Palace Siege. Supported by a lean, low-curve ramp package and focused defensive equipment, the deck establishes a rapid value engine on Turn 4 and threatens decisive table-wide finishes starting around Turn 5.
