Ur Dragon by FilipinoStarkey

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon leads a classic Dragon tribal strategy that leverages its eminence cost reduction to deploy high-CMC dragons ahead of curve. The primary game plan is to ramp, play cost reducers (Dragonlord's Servant, Dragonspeaker Shaman, Nogi, Draco-Zealot, Sarkhan, Soul Aflame), then cast The Ur-Dragon and attack to draw cards and put a permanent into play each combat. The deck overwhelms opponents with raw power, using Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm to double nontoken dragons, Lathliss, Dragon Queen to generate tokens, Scourge of the Throne for extra combats, and Thrakkus the Butcher to double power. An alternative win condition exists in Call the Spirit Dragons if five differently colored dragons accumulate +1/+1 counters. The deck is a battle-cruiser that wins through incremental combat damage, with no infinite combos.
