Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Jeskai Equipment Voltron and direct-damage shell commanded by Captain America, First Avenger. The primary game plan revolves around rapidly tutoring and deploying high-mana-value, stat-boosting Equipment—such as Colossus Hammer, Excalibur, Sword of Eden, and Kaldra Compleat—and bypassing their onerous equip costs through Captain America's 'Catch' combat trigger. Once attached, Captain America presents an imposing clock, delivering 14 or more commander damage per swing with potential double strike while retaining instant-speed removal and direct burn via his 'Throw' ability. The deck is reinforced by premier Equipment tutors like Steelshaper's Gift and Enlightened Tutor, free equip enablers such as Puresteel Paladin and Forge Anew, and format-ceiling defensive protection including Fierce Guardianship, Flawless Maneuver, and Clever Concealment. While it lacks infinite combos and must eliminate three opponents sequentially across several turns, its resilience, removal density, and recovery speed make it a lethal, interactive combat engine.
