Celes, Rune Knight (Fan Commission) by LysTheFox

Format: Commander

Commander: Celes, Rune Knight

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Mardu aristocrats/reanimator combo deck built around Celes, Rune Knight. Celes's second ability is the linchpin: whenever a creature enters from a graveyard, it gets a +1/+1 counter, which cancels the -1/-1 counter from persist. That turns the deck's persist creatures - Murderous Redcap, Putrid Goblin, Lesser Masticore, and Puppeteer Clique - into infinitely recurring bodies when paired with a sacrifice outlet like Phyrexian Altar, Goblin Bombardment, or Blasting Station. The primary win is infinite damage from Murderous Redcap or the sacrifice outlets; a secondary Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar + Terror of the Peaks line wins without Celes. The deck fills the graveyard with Entomb, Buried Alive, Faithless Looting, and Stitcher's Supplier, then reanimates key pieces. It is a fast, tutor-heavy combo deck with a dense protection and interaction package.
