8.5-9 Yuriko (Copy WIP) by BH2U

Format: Commander

Commander: Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Yuriko is a fast combat-drain deck built around putting a cheap unblockable creature into play, then using commander ninjutsu to drop Yuriko in as a tapped-and-attacking Ninja. The primary plan is to stack the library with high-mana-value cards (Draco, Blightsteel Colossus, Jin-Gitaxias, Anticausal Vestige) and drain every opponent for huge chunks whenever a Ninja connects. Secondary paths include Satoru Umezawa's universal ninjutsu to cheat Blightsteel into play and Kaito planeswalkers as extra evasive Ninja/engines. There is no double-faced commander and no true hidden commander; Yuriko is the central engine, but Higure and Sakashima act as support pieces. The deck is aggressive but cannot close a table without Yuriko's global drain or a copied Blightsteel finish.
