Deck overview

This Azorius Blink Midrange deck is commanded by Niko, Light of Hope, transforming ordinary enter-the-battlefield blink synergies into an explosive token-duplication powerhouse. By generating Shard enchantment tokens upon entry, Niko allows you to temporarily transform those Shards into copies of your most potent nonlegendary creatures. Deploying threats like Battle Angels of Tyr or Thought Monitor enables massive combat swings and staggering card draw, as pre-existing Shards can attack immediately without summoning sickness. The deck supports this game plan with a robust suite of mana rocks, repeatable flicker engines like Soulherder, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, and Displacer Kitten, and ironclad defensive spells including Teferi's Protection and Eerie Interlude. Mid-to-late game dominance is secured through crushing asymmetric attrition from Portal to Phyrexia and impregnable pillowfort defenses via Sphere of Safety, ensuring a lethal finish across the table.
