Deck overview

This Bant deck centers on Mr. Foxglove as a high-tempo cheat and card-draw engine. The early game focuses on aggressive mana ramp through mana dorks, land search, and cheap rocks to cast the commander by turn 3. On turn 4, Foxglove attacks to either replenish the hand up to the opponent's count or cheat an enormous, high-impact creature directly onto the battlefield. Cheating out oppressive powerhouses such as Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, or Void Winnower cripples opponents' ability to retaliate. Backing this strategy is a robust suite of silence effects (Grand Abolisher, Voice of Victory, Teferi, Time Raveler) and free countermagic to secure combat triggers. The deck concludes the game over subsequent turns through overwhelming combat damage from evasive, protected monsters.
