Bracket 2 Artifacts by user2934712

Format: Commander

Commander: Edgar, King of Figaro

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This mono-blue artifact deck is helmed by Edgar, King of Figaro, a commander whose ETB draws a card for each artifact you control, providing a massive burst of card advantage. The deck's primary game plan is to deploy a dense suite of cheap artifacts, cost reducers, and token generators to quickly amass a critical mass of permanents, then leverage that board for value and eventual victory. Win conditions include combat pressure via Auton Soldier (copying a large creature with myriad), unblockable attacks from Whirler Rogue, or a self-mill finish with Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac after filling the graveyard with artifacts (aided by Mirrodin Besieged's Phyrexian mode). The coin-flip ability on Edgar guarantees Boompile always destroys all nonland permanents, offering a one-sided reset. The deck is a slow, value-oriented engine that relies on incremental advantage rather than explosive combos.
